Donations for Tennesse Victims

I have been in contact with Linda Hershey, GFWC Tennessee President, I am attaching her letter to the bottom so you can see what is going on with GFWC members there.

I know that we just finished collecting gift cards for Louisiana, but I think we should reach out to our members to help Tennessee. I will be sending the DP’s information about collecting cards in their district. Please contact your DP for more information.

Thank you,

You are so very, very kind to think of us -- we seem to all of a sudden gotten hit by so many things all at once -- the school bus accident, the Southeast Tennessee wildfires (the Smokys being the latest and worst) and tornados.  We don't think we have any GFWC members directly affected by the fires except it is their community and that always affects you.  We have several members who have taken things to the firefighters and we are collecting gift cards for Lowe's, Home Depot and Walmart that will be distributed.
As for the tornados, we have had several members in Middle Tennessee who have had damage to their homes from downed trees, but no one was hurt.
Should anyone want to help, the Red Cross is always the best place to go.  Or a donation to the GFWC Disaster Fund in our honor.  If anyone should make donations, please let me know so that I can write thank you notes -- it is a skill that I am having to make myself learn!
Once again, thank you for reaching out to us and here is hoping that we don't have to deal with any more tragedy this holiday season!
